Amazing Big Island Home

“This was such an amazing home. We had two weeks at the home and enjoyed every minute of it. The home is located in a great spot for accessing nearby beaches as well as other points of interest, however, the best part was simply spending time using the homes water sports equipment and pool. The tidal pool right in front of the home was great fun for our 10 year old son. Sunsets from the beach area in front of the home are some of the best I’ve seen. The communication with Ron and Nathalie was perfect.”

Amazing house for family

“You can not find a better spot in Hawaii than this house in Puako. Beautiful home, pool, grass and beach. My parents, brother, niece and my wife and kids had a fabulous time. The house had every toy you needed to enjoy the ocean including kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling gear. Our kids enjoyed seeing many sea turtles and snorkeling in the outer reef where there were a lot of larger fish. We were able to Kayak directly from the beach in front of the house to a number of cool spots including Hapuna beach. The sunsets are some of the best we have seen. None of us wanted to leave! Ron had thought of every detail in the house to make it a truly unique and wonderful place to spend a week. Six thumbs up from our three boys.”

“This home was everything I had hoped for and more. This was a surprise for my family and we were all surprised by how absolutely beautiful the home and property truly are. I wanted a place for us to spend quality time together while enjoying Hawaii. This home has everything you can ask for. We loved our trip and everything the Big Island has to offer but honestly we could have used more time to spend at the home. The owner has thought of everything. My family ranged from 13 years old to 89 years old and everyone had a hard time leaving. Sitting outside watching the sunset every night was the perfect ending to the day. This made our trip really feel like we had spent our time in paradise. The owner and staff were wonderful to work with and always answered any and all questions as quickly as possible. My family and I would recommend staying at this home to anyone and hopefully one day we will be fortunate enough to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your perfect Big Island home with us.

“This is a Dream Home!!! We had a group of 12, children ranged from 19 to 2. This place had something for everyone, from grandparents to 2 years old! The home is so well designed that there is plenty of room for family togetherness, yet serenity & privacy also!! We made lots of use of water shoes, snorkeling gear, paddle boards & kayaks. One of the bikes does need new gears, however,

We ate in a lot & the fabulous kitchen & BBQ were put to good use.

“There are so many wonderful things to say about Hale Nana Kohola, I don’t even know where to start. If I had to choose one word, it would be “perfect,” because as many fun things as there are to do on the Big Island, it was always a little sad to leave the Big Island’s Luxury Vacation Rentals! The pool, beach, and view are simply spectacular, the house is beautiful and beautifully appointed, and the amenities are unmatched both outdoors and in. From the kayaks, paddle boards, water shoes, snorkeling gear, life vests, pool toys, cooler, beach chairs, etc., to the things of normal life that were all available when we needed them (paper towels, Kleenex, bug spray, and the list could go on and on!), Ron and Jane have made sure you have everything you might need! Peter and Jodi were also very helpful and responsive any time we had questions or needed help. And it's definitely the first place we've ever been where we could see turtles from the house!
When you do finally tear yourself away from the house, you'll quickly see that the location is also ideal in terms of nearby activities, with fantastic beaches and great dining options very nearby!
We’re so appreciative of the opportunity to have spent time here, and we hope to be back. We couldn’t have enjoyed our trip more, and Hale Nana Kohola will always hold a special place in our hearts! Aloha and Mahalo!”

“The house is spectacular. Ron has thought of everything. Fantastic location on a charming little road a couple of miles and sandwiched between two large resort type areas. We had 2 families with 5 kids total and everyone loved everything about the place. Pool area is gorgeous. Beach is a blast. Beds are super nice. Kitchen is huge. The large family kitchen, dining room was our favored spot. Overlooking the patio, lawn , beach and the Pacific. The sunsets and rainbows were magical. Every amenity possible was provided. The little General Store two houses down had everything we needed!

Fantastic Oceanfront in Puako

“This was paradise on the ocean. Whales breaching in front putting on a spectacular show, snorkeling every morning and seeing Manta Rays, lots of fish and turtles, infinity pool to hop into and swim a few laps, great entertaining lanai, huge kitchen and living area to preparing food and fun. Store nearby for the loose ends, sandy beach, water toys for entertainment (SUPs, kayaks, snorkels, fins, bikes and more). Well maintained and super clean. We had a great time and highly recommend this home.”

Great family vacation rental

“The design of the house accommodated our family of 7 adults and one infant perfectly. (A Pack and Play is available with the house) Sufficient privacy and plenty of bathrooms. The layout of the kitchen made group meal prep very comfortable. Indoor and outdoor seating options. The pool is a lovely shape and size although we would have preferred it to be a tad bit warmer in the morning hours. The elliptical on the top level of the house was used daily, affording beautiful views of the larger landscape and of course the whales. Located steps from the ocean was wonderful, although the wind and waves made paddle boarding and kayaking challenging. The community of Puako is quiet and peaceful and the Puako General Store couldn't be more conveniently located - a two minute walk! It is also well stocked and fun to visit. Larger grocery stores are only 10 and 15 mins away. Morning exercise in the form of walking, running or biking on the cruisers from the house, was excellent. Great for walking the baby in the stroller too. We experienced several nights of unusually high winds which resulted in little sleep, especially for those in the bedroom nearest the road, as one of the immature palm trunks repeatedly hit the wooden railing outside the room, causing damage. Hopefully the grill is receiving attention, as it never was able to reach a high consistent temperature. The ice machine in the refer was not working, so we had to buy ice, but a new door is on order. The filtered water from the door of the refrigerator was delicious. Snorkeling beaches and swimming beaches are minutes away. Puako is approx 30 mins north of the Kona area, for deep sea fishing, visits to Costco and a highlight of our trip: Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm. A must!

Driving north from Puako, to Hawi and Waimea was lovely as well. The huge open expanses of the flanks of the volcanoes are reminiscent of the Serengeti. Really beautiful. A house manager is only a text away, as is the local handyman. All in all, a very comfortable house for a family vacation - and i would imagine for 4 couples as well.”

Outstanding, beautiful property and amenities

“I was amazed by the beauty of this place. The home was laid out so well for a large group of people. We had 4 couples in our group and had enough space to enjoy each other's company and still have private space to ourselves when we wanted it. The outdoor/indoor living space is combined when the huge sliding doors are opened. Bedrooms/bathrooms are all spectacular. Bedding is super comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Our group was comprised of several very good cooks. We all had space to move around and all truly enjoyed putting together group meals. The snorkeling right out front of the property was beautiful. Enjoyed swimming with turtles, fish, and even saw mantas. Kayaking and stand up paddle boards were provided as well. The pool was wonderful. So nice to have a swim and not smell like chlorine afterwards,. Great view of the sunset from the beach. Would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone. The property owners and manager do an outstanding job of keeping the home clean, in good repair, and the grounds beautifuly maintained.”

Magnificent Property, Amenities, & Service! Part 1

“This is part 1 of my review:

Many Mahalos to Ron and his incredible "team" for a truly spectacular and unforgettable vacation last March! I apologize that I am so tardy in writing this review, but as I now endure the harshness of another Wisconsin winter, I longingly remember the warm, tranquil, relaxing, rejuvenating, and fantastic week our multi-generational family spent at Hale Nana Kohola. Our group encompassed 7 people--my parents, my mother-in-law, my two teenage kids, and my husband and myself. The vacation was a celebration of my mother-in-law's 80th birthday, my parents' 50th anniversary, our 25th anniversary, and our daughter's High School graduation, which had all occurred during that year. So it was a BIG vacation for us!

From the very beginning of my inquiry, Ron was exceedingly responsive, even communicating with me while he was on vacation. He thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns. He even called me and discussed, at length, his home, property, and what we could expect. It was comforting to know that he was so personally involved. I could tell he truly cared about our vacation, and he and his "team" would provide wonderful service to us. Ron, his assistant, Debbie, and his on-island manager, Jodi, helped make the rental and payment process go smoothly, and provided excellent pre-vacation communication.

I do want to give a special thank-you to Jodi, the property manager. She was so welcoming, helpful, and a true life saver! We had a rough trip to the Big Island on Friday. Our flight was delayed multiple times in Denver. My parents, however, were on a different flight from Arizona and were on time. This was a problem since the plan was to meet up in Kona and drive up to Puako together. So as I sat in the airport while my parents were in the air, I started to panic and texted Jodi to inform her that I wasn't sure when we would be able to get there. She calmed my nerves and graciously offered to stock the house with groceries for Friday night and Saturday breakfast, and even go out of her way to pick my parents up at the airport, drive them to the house, and get them settled and acclimated. I was so, so thankful!! As it turned out, we were delayed almost 6 hours, so Jodi really saved the day for us! She then came back to the house the next morning to meet us and orient us to the home and property.

Magnificent Property, Amenities, & Service! Part

“Part 2 of my review:

After a rough arrival in storms and heavy rain throughout our first night, in the morning the skies cleared and a rainbow appeared over the most gorgeous scene I have ever seen. It truly was paradise!! The Jenny's home is situated on a beautiful piece of property, lushly landscaped, with an incredible and oceanfront view of the Pacific. The heated pool and lanai provided the perfect central area for our whole multi-generational family to gather and spend the day reading, sunning, visiting, swimming, etc. And it's so close to the ocean that even when some of us were in the ocean, we still felt "connected" to those lounging on the lanai or hammock.

The layout of this home allowed everyone to "do their own thing", yet also feel like we were all "together". Even our teenage daughter who only wanted to lay in the sun by the pool still felt like she was part of the group. Our parents were able to read, play games, and relax by the pool, while my husband, son, and I snorkeled, paddleboarded, kayaked, walked the beach, and explored the tide pools. Most evenings we watched the sunset and then cooked dinner in the fabulous kitchen and outdoor grill. We loved the "openness" of this home and opened all the glass doors in the morning to let in the warm and beautiful outdoors. This property is definitely one of the most lushly landscaped in the area and is very well kept. The infinity pool was warm, clear, and pristine, and it was fun to watch all the colorful birds playing on its edge. The hammock was a favorite nap spot! The four bedrooms plus media room allowed everyone to have his/her own room and bathroom, which was a big plus with our mixed group.

We truly felt like we were staying in our own, private resort. Everything we needed was provided--even luxury shampoos, soap, towels, beach necessities, snorkel gear, and cooking necessities. We did not want for anything! We loved the quaint and quiet community of Puako, where we walked the quiet street and visited the General Store. It was so wonderful that right in front of this house is a somewhat protected "bay". It was a great place to swim and snorkel, even when the surf was rough and we couldn't go outside the bay. The first half of our trip we had very calm seas, but the second half the waves were extremely high and rough. Fortunately, Peter stopped by mid-week to warn us the high surf was coming.

Magnificent Property, Amenities, & Service! Part 3

“Part 3 of Review:
Because we loved this home, the amenities, and the tranquil location so much, we only took a few trips "off-site". We visited Hawi and returned to our favorite sushi restaurant, Sushi Rock--definitely worth the drive. We also took a snorkeling/whale watching trip, spent an afternoon at Mauna Kea Beach, walked the ocean trail to the Fairmont, shopped at Mauna Lani, took in the luau at Maua Kea Resort, and had dinner at The Blue Dragon.

But we spent the majority of our time simply relaxing and reconnecting at Hale Nana Kohola. I loved sitting up in the 3rd story "Whale Watch" with it's 360 degree view, or on the lanai simply taking in the stunning and peaceful view! On our final day we saw tremendous whale action just off-shore. A group of whales hung around for quite a while, breaching, slapping, and tail-flapping! It was breath-taking!

In summary, this home is amazing, exquisite, and was such a treat for our whole family--kids, parents, and grandparents included. The setting is idyllic and tranquil and offers so much to do, whether relaxing on the lanai, by the pool, swimming in the pool or bay, snorkeling, kayaking, or paddle boarding, exploring the tide pools, or walking the quaint community of Puako. It is the perfect layout for a large family or several couples. It is luxuriously appointed and beautifully decorated, and is perfectly situated and designed to take advantage of the tranquil Hawaiian breezes, and stunning ocean view!

Ron and Jane, your home was the perfect spot for our multi-generational group! You have a gorgeous house, property, and setting, with wonderful spaces for being together or having privacy. It was hard to pry ourselves away. Everyone (kids, parents, grandparents) agreed it was a special place and the best vacation ever! We feel truly blessed that we were able to experience its beauty and wonder for even a short bit of time. Thank you so much for making that possible! I was so sad to leave, and actually cried the last morning, knowing it was the last day I would wake up to that incredible view. The week flew by much too quickly. I do hope we can manage to make a return visit some day! I am already trying to think of an excuse to come back!! (Maybe in a few years when my friends and I all turn 50?)

Perfect location for our big island vacation!

“We had an amazing time on our recent vacation to the big island... and we loved staying at the Jenny's house! Our party included my husband and me, our three young children and my parents. The home is meticulously decorated and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We loved the fabulous bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms, the huge sliding doors, and the swimming pool. But best of all was the location... it was such a peaceful and quiet spot that mostly we felt like we were on our own private beach. The water right in front of the house is very calm and great for kids to swim in and poke around. Every day we saw beautiful sea turtles lounging in the waters there and whales dancing out on the horizon. This is exactly what we were looking for... the relaxation of a beautiful home instead of a busy resort. We had some great adventures during our stay-- a fabulous tour of Volcano National Park (we used the Lavaland tour company), a trip up to the top of Mauna Kea, a boat trip, etc, dinner and some very delicious shave ice at the Blue Dragon. But my favorite part of our time on the big island was honestly just hanging out the house. Hopefully we will be able to return before too long!!!”

“We had a wonderful experience staying at this home on beautiful Puako Rd. I especially recommend it to you if you prefer to stay out of a resort. Puako Road is a very pleasant and low-key location and a great one for a morning jog. It is also in an area between two resorts, so it's very convenient for shopping and restaurants. Some of the highlights of the home for me were: the art and style of the home, the awesome kitchen, the location on a point with great snorkeling nearby, the infinity pool, the sound system with great music, the master bedrooms. Note that if you travel with small children, all bedrooms are in separate buildings and accessible "from outside". Thank you to the owners for sharing such a well-equipped, well-designed home. This was one of our most relaxing vacations.”

Dream Vacation

“This is the most beautiful Hawaiian home - right on the ocean, with a wonderful beach to walk on, a lovely lawn area, a hammock between Palm trees, and the nicest Infiniti pool and deck! It is a lovely home, inside and out. We loved our meals on the lanai as we listened to teh roar of the ocean. The kitchen is fantastic! All the rooms are comfortable. We did not spend much time indoors, but the home is well furnished.

Puako is a lovely little town. The General Store has lots of supplies. We loved walking along the Main Street, visiting the little church, and walking along the Puako ocean front homes. The home is accommodating for a wheelchair person. A member of our party was able to enjoy a lovely room on the main level, and he loved sitting by the pool and in the lanai area. The owners have made the home accessible and enjoyable for the handicapped vacationer.

This is a beautiful home. It was perfect for our dream vacation.”

“This house is a one of a kind! It has absolutely everything you need and everything is neatly labeled and easy to find. With 3 little kids in tow we have been renting houses all over for the past 5 years and this is top rated in our family. The location is amazing, the house is gorgeous and clean! We hired a chef for dinner and ended up hiring him for almost every night because there was clearly no better spot on the island with comparable views.

“We couldn't have asked for a better vacation home. This is truly a beautiful house, not only in the way it looks (which is gorgeous!) but more importantly in the way it makes you feel. We loved the openness of the house, it was warm and inviting, and very welcoming. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The view was spectacular. There is nothing like waking up to such a picturesque sight! The house had lots of amenities and fun toys (snorkeling gear, kayaks, bikes, etc.) and it was very generous of the owners to let us enjoy them all. Unlike in most other rentals, we were gladly surprised to find a well stocked pantry and a wide selection of wares. Loved the kitchen, by the way =). The audio and video set up was also impressive - what a treat! To top these all off, the owners were simply wonderful - generous, honest, gracious people who were eager to make our stay as comfortable as can be. “We enjoyed the home immensely. For the first time in my vacation history, the property looked exactly like the pictures! It is a lovely home, and we appreciated the fact that it was stocked and supplied like a real home, with ample dishes, glasses, pots and pans, and even sharp knives. The pool was great and the beach incredible, and there was an abundance of quality towels. I even received a call from Ron Jenny checking to see that everything was going smoothly. The only suggestion that I would make ( I relayed the same message to Nico ) is with regard to maid service. I think that because of the size of the property, and the extensive beautiful bamboo floors, that maid service should have been provided at least one time during the week. I read that it was possible to independently schedule maid service at the tenants cost, but based on the rental rate, I believe it would be fair to offer one days maid service included in the price some time in the middle of the rental period. This is certainly not a big deal, but would have made a near perfect experience perfect! Based on this experience I assure you that we will call on you the next time we are looking for similar accommodations. We do not currently have plans, but will be in touch during the planning stage of our next holiday. “Without a doubt the nicest Big Island Vacation Rentals we have ever stayed at! I NEVER write reviews but had to make an exception for this one. If you get the chance to stay here, you won't be disappointed. It is a true 5 Star experience! The house and grounds are spectacular! It is DIRECTLY on the ocean; Panoramic views of Ocean and Bay from house and pool; Watch both sunrise and sunset from HEATED (85degree+) Infinity edge pool;

Owner Ron and his wife have thought of everything to enhance your stay; from ocean kayaks to paddle boards, bikes, beach chairs and much, much more. Bedrooms are master suites (not just bedrooms) and each has there own balconies and air conditioners. The main house and poolside Master have Eclipse windows that open the entire area to the outside. (and ZERO bugs/insects)

We spent hours in the pool and the Tide Pools directly in front where we saw turtles, octopus, eel and numerous other sea life. In our vacation home experience (which is extensive) this level of overall attention to detail is a rarity in a rental home and it seemed like each day we would notice some unique feature of the home's decor. The only negative is that staying here it will make it challenging to find another place that will even come close to what your experience at the Puako Home will be. Thanks for everything. “From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, this house was the perfect location for our family vacation.

The manager is friendly, helpful, well-informed. She welcomed us to the property and gave us a summary of how things work.

The house is as beautiful as it photographs. It has multiple living areas, so family members can drift off and have quieter moments when needed.

The house is perfectly situated, with a soft grass lawn, and sandy beach leading to tidal pools. Bring surf shoes to walk on the lava at the tide pools. There are crabs, fish, shellfish, sea urchins, turtles to marvel at in the tide pools. There are plenty of birds surrounding the house throughout the day.

The house faces relatively north, so as you sit and enjoy the wonderful view across the pool and the lawn to the ocean, you aren't necessarily fully in the sun, but there is plenty of deck space in the sun too.

The pool is heated, which is a great treat on the islands. It has a large flat area that is several inches deep, with steps leading down from this platform, so it's perfect for small children to play in as well. We had three nineteen-month old cousins there and they were able to enjoy the pool fully.

The house is well furnished and well stocked, you are truly staying in someone's home, not just a rental that someone has created. There are great recommendations in the house book regarding pretty much anything you could want to know about the house and the region.

There is plenty to do in the area, and around the island, but in a house this beautiful, we didn't feel a great urge to venture of for adventures. We had plenty right here, staying put.

I highly recommend this house; you cannot be disappointed. I hope to return again next year.”

The ONLY place I ever want to stay in Hawaii!!!!

“This was my 2nd stay at this home, and we are already booked for our 3rd. It is perfection! The location, the infinity pool, the outdoor hot shower, the 4 gorgeous bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, the fabulous music selection and speakers throughout the house, the "they've thought of everything" kitchen, and the insanely fabulous adjustable lighting - oh, and the views - spectacular! All of that and then the hard to explain pure MAGIC of the house itself. The design is 1000 on a scale of 1-10. I don't know the owners personally, but I am in awe of them for designing the perfect home...stunning to look at and practical in every way. Even the few hours that I had to work were made bearable by having easy to access internet, and views over the living room and out to the pool and the ocean. Speaking of ocean...we were in it every day, because the house comes with 3 awesome kayaks, and 4 paddleboards, and a phenomenal selection of snorkel equipment. Turtles aren't just in brochures either, they are everywhere, and beyond the tide pools is some of the best snorkeling in the world.

When we weren't in the water, or in the stunning living room, or taking an afternoon nap in the fabulously air conditioned bedrooms (yes, it IS nice to have air conditioning available if you want it), we were busy feeling like locals - using the great bikes to pop down to the Puako market, where you feel welcome after your first visit. ISLAND GOURMET grocery store is very convenient too, just down at the QUEEN's SHOPS-hard to explain, but Hale Nana Kohala is easy access to everything, yet feels remote and private while you are in it.

This review would not be complete without mentioning the pre-arrival. Jodi is AMAZING! She feels like a best friend before you arrive, and will do as little or as much as you like to advance your stay. She will stock the house with the hardest to find of items, or will open up the house, and let you feel like you are arriving at "your" own place. She is anticipatory, informational, and always only a call or just an email away. She masterfully schedules regular maintenance, lawn & housekeeping around your schedule, so that your privacy is never intruded upon.

In closing,I hesitated to write this review, because I didn't want too many people to find this gem, but that wouldn't be fair. The world would be a better place if more people got to experience this kind of a "hopefully not once in a lifetime" kind of magic! THANK YOU!!”

“Quite possibly the best vacation I've ever had. We are frequent visitors of the Hawaiian islands but never had accommodations quite like this. The pictures on the website did not embellish the home but accurately depicted the vacation rental. We were there for an anniversary celebration and we had our children and grandchildren there and it easily fit our needs. We all agreed that Puako had that "old Hawaii feel" which was unique to the other islands. The owner provided us with paddle boards, kayaks and other ocean related equipment which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend to friends or relatives.”

The Quintessential Hawaiian Experience

“This was our second stay here. We loved it so much we had to come back. After traveling to many dreamy destinations we have decided we just adore Hawaii. We have been to all of the islands but the big island is our favorite and I think this house is the reason. We were here 5 years ago and were pleased to discover that this visit the house and grounds were just as meticulously clean and maintained as our first time here. I don't think the photos and description can accurately capture the awe-inspiring beauty of this luxurious home. I understand the owners designed this house and that it has been featured in Architectural Digest. It is spacious and beautifully decorated with Hawaiian touches everywhere. There is nothing like waking in a master suite to the sound and beauty of the pacific. This time we snorkeled in the very private lagoon and saw gorgeous unique fish not to mention the 5+ sea turtles who sunned and swam with us. I would definitely recommend the luau at the Mauna Kea. Gorgeous setting with delicious food and the story of the luau told through the beautiful Hawaiian music and dance. It was a smaller group as well so every seat had a great view. For a truly unique dining experience the Blue Dragon is a must. Amazing food. Both of these places are a 10 minute drive from the house. I can't wait to go back to Puako and this house. The owners are extremely easy to work with and their goal is to exceed your expectations. They have certainly done that for us, we are planning our family reunion here! :)”

WHAT A PLEASURE!

“This beautiful home is immediately relaxing. It definitely lives up to the pictures and advertising. The surroundings are beautiful, the beach is steps away, the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is well equiped, the A/V system is extensive, the bedrooms are well sized and have good privacy. The house is modern and clean, and constructed with warm, natural materials. The architectural style is an excellent example of indoor/outdoor space sharing, with wide, open doorways to the exterior spaces. As we did a lot of our own cooking, it was very nice to have a good stove, good barbecue, a couple of full size refrigerators for food storage, and lots of counter space to work with.

We made good use of the snorkeling gear and kayaks that were on site. The Puako area is well situated, far enough from major towns to feel more "Hawaiian natural", but close enough to Kona or Wiamea (approx 20 min) to easily make a run for anything not found in the local shops. There are some really nice additional beaches locally for snorkeling, that are just five to ten minutes away. It was the perfect base of operations for a fun filled vacation! Beautiful architecture, nice artwork, and excellent landscaping. We spent 10 days there and loved every minute of it!”

“Mahalo Jane and Ron for a fantastic experience in paradise! We visited the Big Island to escape reality and catch up with friends from Australia. We were all blown away by the incredible accommodations at Hale Nana Kohala and quickly realized there was no reason to leave the tranquil beauty of your home. Each day we enjoyed snorkeling in front of the house with amazing fish and sea turtles, swimming in the infinity pool, and cocktails on the beach watching breathtaking sunsets and laughing with good friends.

The home was stocked well-beyond our needs (exceeded any rental we had ever stayed in) and the management company (Mary) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We hired chef, Kathy

Morris, to come in two separate evenings and prepare some fantastic meals. What an incredible experience to be able to dine and enjoy the views, atmosphere, and the company of good friends without having to leave the comfort of this lovely home. It was especially nice having everything from

appetizers to desserts prepared without the hassle of cleaning up, and Kathy prepared some delicious fresh vegetables from her very own garden. What a nice special touch to our wonderful

The house had such an amazing design and flow, that it was easy to tell that every little detail was carefully considered and planned. It was perfectly designed for four couples to have their privacy

“What a fabulous place! The house is beautifully decorated,comfortable and spacious with all the amenities one could desire. The pool and patio areas provide the ultimate in serenity. And with the beach just steps away with incredible tide pools, turtles and fish, it just doesn't get any better.

We had friends from Shanghai and Russia staying with us and they just couldn't get over the how nice everything was. To this day they profess that this was one of the best places that they have ever stayed...and they travel often.

We had planned on going to restaurants every night but instead we chose to stay at the house and cook for ourselves as no restaurant could offer the premiere environment that we were in. Plus, the gourmet kitchen and Bar B Que made for wonderful meals and social gatherings.

If you love water activities and the beach, you will be in heaven here!! The house provides all the equipment you will need for fun, fun, fun!

Our three year old daughter had the time of her life and is always asking to go back to the "Hawaii House."

Incredible Holiday with Great Friends

“We spent 7 magical days here with 3 other couples. The house was perfect for our type of holiday. It was perfect for relaxing, sitting on the deck for many hours eating and drinking. Swimming with the turtles off the beach, watching the sunset, and just being able to relax in this glorious home with our friends.

The house was big enough for each couple to have their own space. The kitchen was so well equipt with everything you needed as was the entire beautiful house. A tip, we had chef Kathy come in and cook a couple of meals for us in the house which was very special indeed!

“My family spent a week at Hale Nana Kohola celebrating my retirement and enjoying the beauty of the Big Island. Given the pictures and the price, our expectations were high and were certainly met, if not exceeded, by this beautiful home and setting. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with and the local manager was a great source of ideas for how we could make the best of our time on the island. The house is well equiped for everything one might need including beach chairs, bikes and kayaks. In addition to the beach in front, there are several great beaches very close. Our dinner at the Blue Dragon for "rock and roll" night was great fun. Sunsets each night were beautiful and celebrated on the beach in front with a glass of wine. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.”

“This Puako house is a celebration of nature. Perfect setting, fun equipment for every age, and so well equipped in kitchen, baths and bedrooms, not to mention the indoor or outdoor dining areas. “What a magnificent property. We walked on to the deck and beach and didn't leave for 5 days. Not only is it a beauty architecturally but the Jenny's have thought of EVERYTHING! From the espresso maker to the kayaks, great beach towels to all Big Island guide books, the media room to outdoor dining, we discovered that this beautiful home was set up to satisfy just about any needs or desires. “This home is incredible. The large open great room with cathedral ceiling and folding doors blends the space with the outdoors. All the bedrooms were wonderful. Great care was taken in building this home and everything we needed for a great holiday was there; great snorkeling (especially further off shore where we saw an arch and lava tube and wonderful coral), kayaks, bikes, even a small charming grocery store a few steps away. Our oldest son loved the house’s audio system. It is hard to call this a vacation rental as we always felt like we were staying in the owner’s home. We would definitely rent this home again.”

“What a fabulous house and setting awaited us when we arrived from 3 different continents for a family birthday party. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in Puako, the house was amazing, the pool was fabulous and the beach idyllic. Everything was "top of the line" and we never felt crowded, even though we were 3 separate families. We would definitely return here again. We discovered the lovely 'beach 69' which is a mile's drive/walk away and found this was a beautiful and safe beach for the kids (ages 4 - 14)

“The moment you step in this estate you know you found something special. The architecture blends into this unique environment and takes advantage of the oustanding views. Nothing was spared in building of this home,the beutiful woods and stones are all first class. The decour is tastefull done in every detail.
